Lol,did I say,a cold front today would flush out the heat in the east today?

Currently sunny and a balmy 23.6c in Arklow
The incredible summer continues in the east :D

Sun for most of the day again today and very warm for the time of year. Max of 23.7 , currently 22.1, with a very gusty westerly breeze.

Davis Vantage Vue, which on a pretty windy day like today should be reasonably accurate. I am at the lee of the Wicklow mountains and in wsw or sw winds there often seems to be a fohn effect that adds a couple of degrees to other places. Have noticed this on many occasions.

yeah,as said earlier sw winds in a warm sector means hot for those of us so far east that we usually don't see it too hot normally with sea breezes when everyone else has it v hot.

Was in Gorey and Arklow today, with the car reading 24.5c varying down to 23.9c along the drive.
The Davis here at home peaked at that 23.6 and is currently 20.9.
It got very windy around 430 and has stayed as such.
    No rain.

Once again, what a great little island we have for its weather variations.

Looking at the lastest charts, it looks like it will remain quite pleasant for most of the country during the first half of next week, with temperatures into the low twenties quite widely across Munster and Leinster. Come Thursday, however, it looks as if rain and cooler temperatures will return to all of Ireland, although England and Wales will probably remain warm.

I don't see anything out of the ordinary this morning. Looks more of the same really, then gradually cooling further.

Tis September now so roll on winter 2013/2014:)

August was average here, tho better than most recent years with mild to warm temperatures and not much rain, poor compared to June and especially July. Best summer in about 7 years, hopefully next summer will be similar.

It will probably warm up again to the low 20s. I can see this weather lasting right into November. Summer not over just yet

I think summer is ending now. Mostly wet 11-24 Sept, temps dropping to below 20C from 11th onwards. October very wet with some flooding. Most counties won't go longer than three days in October without some rain.
