Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Teams

    Arsenal

Szczesny, Jenkinson, M'sacker, Sagna, Gibbs; Ramsey, Rosicky, Cazorla; Walcott, Giroud, Podolski

    Fulham

Stockdale; Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Riise; Duff, Parker, Sidwell, Taarabt; Kasami; Berbatov

Arsenal should have enough to beat them but it wount be easy. Berbatov is always dangerous.

    Arsenal to win 3-1

Expecting a very close game. 2-1 to Arsenal.

2.15 from Paddy Power last night looked pretty sweet. Let's get 3 on the board.

Poldi starts, hopefully means he's not going anywhere. 2-1 Arsenal

    Fulham bought by Ron Jeremy?

Worrying when Zelalem is making our bench tbh. I don't know why we didn't resign Flamini this week.

What the **** is up with BT Sport and showing the managers whilst the tactics are on screen?

    Just weird....

I think Michael Owen's horse would be more interesting to listen to than the man himself.

    Great save by Szcz!

Pitch is getting really bad. Arsenal won't like that

Drop Giroud back. He can do no wrong these days!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

I'm a bit of a Giroud fan, I think he is an excellent striker who had a tough time of it at the start of his Arsenal career but I fancied him to come good this season (as a result he is in my fantasy team). Well taken goal.

    Probably Ramsey.

It was his shot anyway initially.

Why are arsenals centre backs playing so far apart. They are like two full backs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,496 ✭✭✭quarryman

    What station is this on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

Total control from Arsenal. Exactly what you want.

You only get narrow when you're defending. Fulham have barely had an attack yet.

This talking to Mark Halsey for every ref decision is annoying me

Does ark sit quietly in the corner of the commentary box, waiting to be given a chance to say "excellent" 3 times in a sentence once every 10 minutes or so?

    We always play that way.

Push the CBs wide then the full backs move up. Harder for teams to press you if play that way and easier for you to play offside. Your defensive midfielder (in our case Arteta, but Ramsey today) covers the middle. Anything over the top the keeper acts as sweeper. Keeps your opponents hemmed in and is difficult to counteract if, as in our case, the team playing the above system is very good technically. Caveat is, you can be easily opened up if the team you're against has quick talented players and you don't play a DM or your DM isn't positionally disciplined. Villa game last week is probably as blatant evidence for that as you'll find. If we had Gustavo we wouldn't have lost that game.

And he adds absolutely nothing worthy to the coverage.

They are unusually far apart today tho I think.

Arsenal getting a bit sloppy. Taarabt causing problems

    Concentrate Ramsey.

Fulham are playing some nice stuff here. We need to sort out the passing, slow the game down a bit.

    Fulham coming into this

Giroud playing well upfront. Ramsey needs to be careful.

Seems to be going the same way as the villa game. Except we aren't being fûcked over by the ref

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,183 ✭✭✭UnknownSpecies

Ramsey has to stop lunging in like that. Very wet and easy to miss the tackle. Can see him getting a red.
