Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Laptop Advice - 5105R3 G580 V3-571G Z580

24-08-2013 12:22pm#1Hi, looking for a laptop recommendation for the €500-700 range (flexible) for daily college use including web browsing, programming, compiling, music + movies.
An SSD or maybe more RAM can be added later so they're not a worry. I'm looking at fast processors in the i5-i7 range, a durable build and good battery life.
I don't think ultrabooks would suit as they don't seem like great value but maybe you could recommend one or two?

The PCS UltraNote is not exactly an ultrabook by definition, but it is pretty slim and not too heavy. Excellent full HD IPS display, optical drive, battery life appr. 5 hrs (with a quad core i7), €875 in the following configuration:
