I'm looking for some PADI scuba club recommendations. Hubby and I did open and advanced late 2011 and want to get back into it. I saw the sticky with clubs above but none seem to be PADI associated. (We're in Kildare btw).

    Many thanks!

Your best option would be to look at Padi.com where you can see the location of the various centres around the country. However for Dublin you're best choices are Dive Inn Scuba on the north side or Oceandivers on the south side. Both good clubs and out every weekend during the season. Best of luck and have fun.

The team in Oceandivers are very nice and have plenty of dives going on, with people at all levels.

There are also cmas clubs in kildare . You are not limited to only diving with PADI organisations . There are far more CMAS diving clubs than PADI . Most PADI centers are business .

OP why not contact CFT (Irish Underwater Council) they are the representative organisation of CMAS in Ireland. Your qualifications are recognised and a 'crossover' can be arranged in-Club.

    More info here:

I suggest contacting them to find your nearest club.

Id recommend doing some dives with either of the PADI centers mentioned above before committing to a club.

Thanks all. We spoke with ocean divers and they seem lovely and passionate about diving and getting more people into it!

I recently started with scubadivers.ie and there seems to be some interaction with ocean divers. My group only consists of myself and my wife. We do share the time slot and pool with 20 or 30 oceandivers though.
They specialise in small groups rather than large according to their site.

I've dived a couple of times with the guys at Oceandivers. They're a great bunch, very friendly and they're out pretty regularly during the season.
