Walk around the campus or get the bus into town and try to familiarise yourself with the place and get your bearings.
Good advice, It will take a while to get used to the place! Also it will be hectic during the week which will add to the confusion. The more you get to saunter around before orientation the better.

About what time will orientation be finished?

Did you recieve an orientation handbook? if so look up your course on the schedule P16-21. You will find out from this what day and what time your orientation takes place. Its usually all done on the day.

You'll probably be finished by around 4 I'd say.

Best to clear up 9am-5pm on the day tbh. You could be finished beforehand but enrolling and getting registered can drag on.

The Orientation booklet says we have to provide proof of payment of fees. Is a printout of your financial statement from www.si.ul.ie okay?

    regards Breda

My course LM038 is nine hours a week?? Is there something I'm missing here?

I've some ingenious tactics for pulling innocent new freshers but this plumbs new depths/reaches new highs (depending on your viewpoint)

also because I'm starting my Masters does that make me a first year again or a 5th year:confused::D

You're really handing out the jewels here.

Haha we had a talk with him today at orientation and he told us if we are late then he'd not let us in. Thought he was joking... apparently not :P
