I know you have to be between 18-30 when applying. So I presume before you're 31?

I will be 31 in a few weeks and going on a whv to australia two weeks after my birthday.

If I was to apply the week before my birthday, would this be ok? How long does it take to come through?

Do you have a year to enter New Zealand once the visa is granted like the Australian working holiday visa?

Apply for the BUNAC Visa next year instead, similar terms (though better in most regards) than a WHV and upto 35years of age.

BUNAC have reached their quota for 2013. No new applicants until 2014.

Similar situation myself OP. 30 here and already used my one year WHV so going down the route of working visa now. You need a job offer first.

got my WHV 5 days before my 31st... only takes about 3 days in total to process... i dealt direct with nz-immigration and as long as your holding 100E in your fist they are very easy and fast to deal with... DO IT....

Appy for your WHV right now or just before your birthday...no worries.
