World 6 Red Championship

    Next Monday sees the start of the six reds championship in Bangkok. Although not a ranking event it still manages to draw a good line up. Made up of national champions and invited players including tbe majority of the worlds top ten it always provides some exciting snooker.

    Ireland will be represented by Ken Doherty and Robbie Murphy who won his invitation by way of a qualifying event at the recent European Amateur Championships.

    like the event tbh, it was a only a few years ago when it was down in killarney

    Yes that a was good few days but the organisers of that one stepped on a few toes as there was already a six reds planned that same year in Bangkok using the "world" title. That in itself is the main reason it never returned to Killarney.

    thanks zack , i knew there had to be a reason(s) killarney didnt' get the tournament there again :)
