Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Poor Rogers cant win, he got slaughtered last season when he fielded a weakened team in the FA Cup as it was all Liverpool had left to play for, now he fields a team who really should have won tonight with ease and they get some bad luck and he gets slaughtered again

I had zero issue with the team fielded. It is a combination of terrible finishing, defending and luck injury wise that has us in this bind.

I want Liverpool to be in as many competitions as possible and try their damnedest to win them all.

Don't blame Rodgers really. He picked a good mix of experienced players and kids. They should have put the game out of sight when they had the chances.

I'm sure those who are glad we aren't in the Europa League this season will be delighted at this early exit too if we go out.

Yeah, not putting that high a value on the Europa Cup automatically means happiness at struggling to beat Notts. County at Home.

    Ah yea, fair enough.

Players must take responsibility for the sloppyness

Has a single Liverpool fan actually criticised Rodgers on this thread?

Not really a fair comparison....as you said last year it was all we had to play for...this year we are in a title battle.

Absolutely. rodgers should go through them for a short cut, letting that lead slip 5 days before the Utd game. Massively unprofessional.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Is this game still on? Was it delayed at kick off or something? Should have ended a while ago shouldn't it?

A weaker Liverpool team should still be able to see off Notts County.

No, it's half an hour ET with no golden goal. And pens if it finishes level. Why you think there would golden goal?!

I've always given huge criticism for playing key players in games like this. I slaughtered Kenny for Lucas. We just don't have the depth to be playing some of the players out there tonight. The interest of giving ourselves the best chance of getting a result in the next league game should come above everything else. We should have more than enough quality to beat these without key players out there tonight.

Yeah but look at what I quoted.

The only questions that will be asked tomorrow, and rightfully so, is why haven't players been signed.

There was talk a while ago that if a team threw away a two goal lead, and were reduced to 10 men through injury in extra time that the golden goal rule would come in to force.

After the 90 minutes, both teams realised that they had taken part in a magnificent spectacle so, at the behest of the fans, agreed to play an extra 30 mins. Giving them their money's worth, y'know?

Sturridge and Henderson have delighted home and travelling fans alike in this wonderful extra little exhibition game. If only more teams thought like this.

Wait are Liverpool playing with 10 men since Toure went off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,594 ✭✭✭kingshankly

Glen johnsons form is a massive worry

Quality from Hendo. In fairness other than the injury we should be ok fitness wise for Sunday considering we only played for one full half plus extra time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,516 ✭✭✭Outkast_IRE

Im glad they are scoring the goals, but if defensively we were a bit sharper in the second half it would be all over already.

I remember thinking that he was being singed as his replacement when he joined. He has the image side of it down and seem to be getting the football side right now. Long may it continue.
