Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

surely banging in a few first team goals would be the best shop window for him

and not risk Sturridge picking up a knock

If he could bang in a few goals he wouldn't be in the shop window in the first place.

    Where is skrtel gone?

Playing Sturridge, Gerrard and Toure isn't necessary and not worth the risk

Wrap Sturridge and Gerrard up in cotten wool and bubble wrap by half time, please.

Perhaps they cant risk playing him because they dont want an injury to hamper any possible move in next few days?.

is this part of the Lamela deal or the Mata deal?

We did lose to Oldham last year, seems like Rodgers remembers

Ur just as likely to pick up a knock in some crappy training session, they obviously think he needs the games to get sharper. Let them at it we've no European games so its all good. Win it early - rest who you need to

Wont get much for him if we can't get him on display. Really odd picking Sturridge. An injury there before (hopefully) Suarez is back and our rosey start would turn grey very quickly.

There is zero reason to even need Sturridge tonight and thats why im saying this about Borini.

Very strong team, I wouldn't have played Gerrard though.

Really, what is the issue people have with highly fit footballers doing their job?

It's early season and this is an ideal game to get their fitness up and continue a run going.

Also, Toure needs games after his lack of appearances last season.

Team got criticised for poor cup performances last season so imagine the sh1tstorm if they got beat here?

Ironically, both those clubs let Borini go before we stumped up stupid money for him.

Hold on, Borini is actually on the bench? Wtf

I am quite suprised we are fielding such a strong team. Ibe and Sterling along with Alberto will hopefully impress tonight.

Hopefully, I expect Ibe & Sterling to cause lots of damage and supply Sturridge with a couple of goals.

People making a deal about the likes of Gerrard and Sturridge starting.........you do realise that almost every player is still battling his body at this stage of the season to get to 100% match fitness? This could be seen as a bonus fitness session if anything to get them closer to full steam. I'm sure BR spoke with each individual and where they are at.

I think it's good they are playing (assuming of course no injury arises).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

As a Forest fan who watches County's form closely, I can say with certainty that tonight will be an easy Pool win. Notts have looked very suspect at the back this season thus far. If it was a couple of seasons back when Keith Curle was in charge I would give them a chance of an upset, but not a hope with this current set of players.

Good goal, one of the things about playing a strong team is you get a better idea of how people will play if called upon in the first team, how they form partnerships etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

Fair play to ya Raheem. Nice goal
