Anyway, I don't have any issue with him playing a strong team. It is an important match for us and we should be doing what we can to win this trophy.

To me, any top PL side's backups should be good enough to beat a side a few divisions under. I'd be annoyed if United were playing the likes of RVP, Carrick, Vidic in a match like this. One bad tackle and you'd be missing a key player for a much more important game.

Tbf, Liverpool do seem to be stuck due to injuries in defence, but Borini should definitely have been playing over Sturridge
