Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

I have seen a guy selling a Jiayu G3ST phone on adverts.ie, and I was impressed about the specs of the phone.

    http://www.adverts.ie/mobile-phones/jiayu-g3st-for-sale/3662052

Do any of you have a Jiayu phone? Is it any good? Have you had any problems with it? Would you recommend it?

I am tempted to buy it as it is quite cheap for its specs, but want to know some real user experiences first.

    Thanks!

Hi diwit, i saw your post and joined just to give you a helping hand , the mediatek processor in this phone may be quadcore but it is of low quality and performs very poorly for a quadcore processor , i would recommend saving your money and buying a sony ericsson xperia sp brand new from the shops , it costs about 319 euro , it uses a dualcore 1.7ghz krait proccessor and an adreno 320 (a very high end gpu ) it is probably the most performant phone for its price and even beats the quadcore galaxy s3 and htc one x even though it is only dualcore, it even beats the htc one mini and galaxy s4 mini, i have it and have been using it for some time now , it runs every game ive managed to find without a hiccup , i would not recommend that you buy this jiayu phone , or any other cheap phones of unknown brand as the processors and other parts they use are usually not very performant

Hope this post helps you :)

Have a look at the Chinese Android Phones Thread,
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056851139

Ignore the above post about them being low quality, the Jiayu phones are great and a few people on the forum have them, including me, I have a G3S

The original G3 (1GHz dual core) is last years model, the G3S (1.2 GHz quad core) is this years model and the G3T (1.5 GHz quad core) is an updated version of this years model

you can get a G3T for around €180 new from China including shipping

I've last years model. I've owned several named brand androids costing much more and this far exceeds them in price and quality. The seller on Adverts.ie is way overpricing it and they can be purchased much cheaper as stated.
