The castle grounds and walled gardens are quite beautifull and well worth a visit.:)

Glenveagh Castle and National Park.

The Castle is a 4km walk from the visitor centre,so we took the shuttle bus down to it instead.:)

The Castle and surrounding gardens.

All groundskeepers,and gardeners who work in Glenveagh have to wear full face protection net/mesh type head gear.

This is to protect them from the massive amount of small flies and midges that seem to swarm around you the very second you stop/stand still.

Lots of large dragonflies whizzing past our heads on a frequent basis.

Lovely to see them flying around the place.:)

Absolutely loved the trained/pleached Rowan tree tunnel.:)


Have some more pics from landing on Tory Island,the sights on the Island and the boat journey accross,but there aint much gardening done on the Island........just some stunning scenery,thats all.:D
