    Hey everyone!

I have been running my own professional services business since 2003 and would like to expand my customer base and grow turnover by bringing in a sales agent on a self employed basis. (profit share). Has anyone else had much experience in this. I would welcome some feedback from others that may have gone down this road. How did you find the right person? Is there a good place to advertise?

Thanks in advance for any input!

This is asked quite frequently, I think this was the most recent:

There's also a search function at the top of the Entrepreneurial & Business Management forum, the following searches should start you off:
    Sales Agent
    Commission Only

    Best of luck.

    Thanks

I should have asked what kind of business are you in?

I'm assuming it's photography from your username, if so do you have any specialisations?

E.g. if you do product photography, perhaps you could partner with an e-commerce provider and maybe offer them a margin for promoting you services to their customers.

    Hi Graham,

You guessed right. I am a professional photographer specialising in product / commercial photography. Thanks for the idea. That sounds like it might be worth investigating further. The problem I have, is that when I am working on jobs I just don't have the time to "look for the next job" so to speak. This is where I was hoping an agent might work out. Leave them handle the business side so that I could get on with the creative and technical work! If your idea worked though, that would certainly help the situation. Thank you.

    Regards
    John
