Cant see windows bar at base of screen???

As the title says no matter what im working on, an office programme or just looking at a web page when i have a few windows open i cant see the other at the bottom of the screen like i used to? Dont know what i have done but ant to rectify it? Any ideas? Thanks

Does it reappear when you put the mouse pointer down at the bottom of the screen but you'd like it to stay visible permanently?

If so, just make the bar appear, right-click on a blank part of it, select 'Properties' and then unclick the 'Auto-Hide the taskbar' option
