Jesus, would he let Pete Briquette* speak, what's the point of having him on if he says nothing.

    * Still one of the best stage names ever!

Oh, Christ 15 seconds of a clip on TOTP

Pete is playing the Midge Ure role tonight i.e. hardly getting a word in.

David Kid Jensen. He's about the only TOTP presenter from the 1970's who hasn't been charged with anything.

That clip has me wondering what's on bbc4 later.

And far less addictive too (quite the opposite of addictive, actually).

Please let Kid be clean. I liked him.

Bob making the plight of the Irish in Western Australia sound like the Ethiopian crisis 20 years ago...

Jesus why can't he comment on contemporary Ireland.
    Like talk about something relevant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

I'd say Bob's clothes are expensive designer labels but they always look like he has slept in them or just picked them up off the floor.

Has Pete a bit of a speech impediment ?

    Disco, then Reggae.

They had two terrific shows about Dusty Springfield last week, I really liked them.

I must set up a 'BBC4/BBC2 Music Documentaries' thread

No Bob, the 4 Of Us were a different band altogether.

It's always great to hear UK resident Bob Geldoff advise us Irish on where we are going wrong in our day to day living

Bad form....... Pete was largely ignored and Tubs didn't even shake his hand at the end of the Bob interview.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,741 ✭✭✭✭Ally Dick

I'd rather slice my eyeball open with a Stanley knife than go to Vicar Street to hear Bob Geldof "sing"

Do you watch the old Top of The Pops, Donie? 1978 is a mad mix of Disco, laid back motown-esque pop/soul and the occasional bit of Punk-lite that the BBC let onto the show.

    Crazy days.

Yeah, the seventies ones are gas. The odd bit of Grease and that weird Legs Inc. (or whatever it's called) flung in. Good stuff, in parts!
