Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Unlocking a 2nd hand Iphone 4S

Hi, I have just bought an Iphone 4S locked to Meteor.
The seller has requested Meteor unlock it, and they said this will take a while.

What method is used to unlock the phone, and how do I got about doing it?
Is it a code that Meteor will give him, and he then passes that on to me?

    Thanks.

Meteor will contact the original owner when the unlock has been processed by Apple, then the seller will need to contact you.

You will then need to connect the iPhone to iTunes to unlock it. If you are using a different sim to the original network lock it will say:

    Congratulations your iPhone is unlocked..

If you are using the same sim as the original network lock you will need to restore the iPhone for the unlock to activate on the phone.

Thanks for that. I have the same network sim (Meteor) in it at the minute.
When he tells me its unlocked, if I put a different sim in before connecting it to Itunes will I avoid having to restore the Iphone or will I have to do that anyway since I have already put a same network sim card in it.

If you pop in a different network sim you'll avoid having to restore it.
