I'm not listening myself tonight, - TV always wins out in our house :(
I usually catch up with John on the radio player at some stage.

I was put on to it courtesy of Boards. I don't listen religiously. But anytime I've caught the show it is excellent. Great variety of interesting music. And he has a very nice way of presenting. Never thought I'd ever have RTE Radio 1 on in the car.. Have I lost my youth!?

Another splendid show. And he wasn't even trying tonight.

I was crying with delight at his show this evening, and that was only as he read out the list of artists to be played.

Can we just cancel the Arts Show at 10 and Late Date and let John stay on this evening?

    My favorite Christmas song!!
    Thank you Chris Rea.

I just turned on tonight and heard chris rea. You know it's mighty that one of the best shows on rte is presented by a corkman from cork. Doubt ya John boy.

Is the news reader reading the news outside ? It sounds like he's standing next to a road.

Everytime I’ve heard Chris Rea being played in the last week or so, I expect the dj to then announce his passing.

It’s not as if RTÉ are obsessed with misery and death :pac:

    Get well soon, Chris :)

Well it sounded like whatever he was reading off wasn't playing ball. He sounded like he was waiting for the screen to move on.

Ah now good man John. A bit of Bruce every now and again never hurts.

You'd think a radio news reader would have paper script ?

I think it's all done on a computer or at least I've seen a few news readers on radio take pics of their news studios and it looked all on a computer.
