A nice one from Mike Scott and the lads now, very Van Morrison-esque.

I thought an especially good playlist tonight.

Just for the day that's in it.

Some years ago JC read out an e mail from a listener who as a kid was staying at a relatives house in England. A fellow relative, Noel Redding briefly called in to say hello en route to a gig along with his then band mates. The Bean an Tí made them all tea and the chats were had before they hit the road.

It was only later on that the listener realised that the quiet tanned gentleman who spoke very little was one Jimi Hendrix.

Sean Tyrrell. A fantastic voice I've not heard on the radio in a long time. Reminds me of car journeys with the auld lad.

A younger, more mellow, and less cranky Van there.

Sounds glorious here in an otherwise quiet kitchen, playing through a vintage Technics amp and Mission wall mounts.

Never heard Van’s ‘Autumn Song’ before - good stuff :)

The perfect ending to a good evening. It’s hard to beat Joni Mitchell.

She is truly talented. I was kicking myself that I didn't get a chance to see her about 5 years when she did a series of concerts in London. An amazing musician.

    The live CD is great.

And thanks to you both, and Amazon, today the 4 Kate Bush albums arrived. I’ve made a start. Magical!

Whenever I hear the Dexy's tenor saxes kick in and the crown baying, I always chant Creedo Creedo Creedo Creedo :)
