I don't normally listen to the radio in the evenings but was driving last night when Ray Cuddihy was on the air. It was so good I turned on the radio when I got home and listened to the rest of the show.

I actually liked Ray Cuddihy to my surprise. I think I prefer him to Fiachna.

Fiachna just said he's covering for the next three weeks.

Liked that moody instrumental he finished with tonight.

That new Kila tune is fairly lively.

Good to hear Fiachna giving props for the New Radicals album - way too overshadowed by ‘You Get What You Give’ - the whole record is fantastic.

This is an interesting piece on the band.

    Great documentary, SYN!

Mystery guy is right, there did seem to be a lot of acts around 1999 that couldn’t fit in any genre other than ‘rock’ - see also Semisonic, Vertical Horizon, Third Eye Blind etc.

He's hitting the CMAT quota this week.

Some weird choices to start with this evening.

“Starting off with good vibes and positivity!”

Rein it in, John…remember you’re on RTE.

I’m sure you’ll play a record soon relating to somebody who has recently doyed.

‘Grazing In The Grass’ by Hugh Masakela!

And everything’s all right with the world. :)

Rainy Night in Soho, I like it but it's way overplayed.

Was good to hear Fantastic Negrito earlier.

Great song by Paul Brady to finish. :)

To the Bright and Shining Sun by The Walls is a fairly underrated tune.

I'm sure I've heard this version Only You on some Christmas ad.

‘C’mon Everybody’ by the Sex Pistols.

    *shudder*

This version of a million miles away from Irish Tour is a bloody masterpiece.... All the band absolutely on fire.

Lou Martin, Gerry McEvoy and Rod d'Ath, the best accompaniment Rory ever had.

A few songs that were radio hits around 2007/8 tonight

Now Sound of Silence by Disturbed

Two from the Pretenders tonight, after two from the Pretenders last night! Brass in Pocket always transports me back to my first teenage disco.

Two long songs this hour, he must be watching the football on RTE without any distractions.

Just caught 2 from the Doors. That has me smiling

Waiting for the Sun. A classic. One of my favourite Morrison songs.

That Mary's Got Issues song is getting a lot of airplay on Radio One.

    Love these Solomon Burke tracks.
