Opening a new Laptop shop in Dublin for Chinese laptops

I recenty bought a meenee laptop from amazon.co.uk costing me round 300 pounds after vat and shipping. It weighs only 1.2 kg, very thin, looks so nice and simple. I loaded Ubuntu Linux 12.04 with gnome 3 on it and it works excellent.

I found that this meenee laptop is a Chinese rebranded version. In Chinese online stores such as alibaba and aliexpress the same laptop is available for 130 euros.

Does anybody have any experience in buying products from alibaba stores?
Some of these laptops are apple mac clones. Will there be any problem in importing these laptops to ireland from china? will there be any problem with customs?

After sitting idle for a long time, I think of opening a laptop store in dublin for selling these chinese laptops. Since these 150 euro laptops are rebranded and sold at 300 euros in amazon, I think there will not be a legal problem in importing and selling them in ireland. Anyone has any opinion, please?

If there clones they'll breach copyright laws and will be confiscated. Buying for 150 and selling for 300 won't give much profit.
150+ 65 VAT+ Duty of 14% I think + rent+rates+Internet/ phone/ESB etc+ warranty issues

Just buy a dozen stick them on eBay and see how you get on. But be prepared to lose the lot if customs confiscate them

And nobody in their right is going to buy them anyway... certainly not for 300 yoyos. Intel Atom D2500 says it all.



For €300 you'll get a laptop with an Ivy Bridge Celeron or Pentium processor, even the slowest of them will be running circles around this piece of sh*t.
