Might be the kick up the backside this team needs. Draft well and come back next season.

I wonder how much the Superbowl disaster played a part. When things got tough, the belief seemed missing.

Haven't been able to put teams away this year, apart from the 49ers. Seem to win or lose every game by one score.

Well played Mr. Rawls, well played.

Serious Potential, could be another masterclass from Schneider and Carroll picking up an undrafted star!

Lynch was sent to a specialist this week so doubt he will be back for next weekend.
Be interesting to see how Rawls gets on V the Steelers defence

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Lynch having surgery today, likely to miss 4 weeks

    Steelers
    @ Vikings
    @ Ravens
    Browns

Going to see alot more of Rawls in the next few weeks.

That's four winnable games and everytime I've seen Rawls play he looks good. I don't think it's a huge disadvantage to be without Lynch with the way he has been playing this season. He has never really engaged beast-mode this season.

I think you guys will make the playoffs but it's going to be hard work to win the NFC Championship with all games on the road. I do think you are the only team that could stop the Cardinals from reaching the Superbowl.

As well as the Panthers have done I just don't think they are up to the standard of the top two teams in the NFC West.

Should beat Ravens and Browns, have no confidence on the road this year so Vikings will be tough, though it will be interesting to see how they bounce back from the Packers loss. They play the Falcons this week who seem to be in freefall at the moment. Steelers will be tough too but at home you have to expect a win.

In relation to the Panthers, they beat us this year in Seattle so cant really put them down. We've played both them and the Cardinals this year and there wasnt much between them.

Now that was fun to watch.

It certainly was, and well worth the glares when I eventually made it to bed! Great to see a passing game, but the Graham loss -- even though we didn't use him much -- will be felt badly in all the must-win games coming up.

First game this season when we let in a TD, that I actually felt we could drive up the other end and score. Made a welcome change. and despite the car crash of a season we've now somehow fallen into a playoff spot!

Graham will be a loss, after a quiet few weeks he got into this game with a few big third down plays and a great catch to set up Rawls 2/3 yard TD.

Really not sure what to make of the Vikings next weekend. They have an 8-3 record but looking at their results the two big teams they've played (Broncos and Packers) both beat them. Chiefs and Raiders been their best wins this season

Back to back enjoyable performances. Ravens and Browns next, time to kick on!

Know the score, but looking forward to watching this this week.

Russ was spraying the ball around and the defence shut them down. All in all a good days work against another playoff positioned team away from home.

    Predictions for final four games?

    @ Ravens
    Browns
    Rams
    @ Cardinals

At a minimum would expect 3-1 there.
Would that be enough for a 5th seed in the playoffs?
Vikings have a tough run in now.

Should be two gimmies and then a 2 games stretch to decide things.

I'd be disappointed with anything less than 3-1 as well. The Rams are our bogey team but they've been poor. Depending on results between now and then, the Cards game could see a lot of less familiar faces on the pitch for both teams.

Haven't seen last nights game but I heard the Vikings blew a great chance to win in Arizona.
Pretty much gives the division to Arizona now, a win on Sunday and we move from 6th to 5th seed.

For the wildcard playoffs sixth seed will probably travel to the Packers while fifth seed goes to the winner of the awful NFC East.

Another cracking win but the loss of Rawls is gonna hurt more than Graham's absence. Anybody know when Beast Mode is back? Can't find any info on it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,053 ✭✭✭OU812

Rawls injury looked bad, but he walked off??

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Broken ankle, he's out for the season.

Lynch, when he had the surgery was due to come back for week 17 @ Cardinals, haven't heard anything since.

As for the game itself, another great performance by Russ. Have to credit the o-line too who have come on leaps and bounds since week 6/7 giving him more time to pick passes.

D was solid as usual. Hopefully Kam is alright for next Sun.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

We've resigned Christine Michaels. Not exactly awe-inspiring but we need somebody to carry the ball until Lynch returns.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Fortunately it's the Browns at home this week (famous last words). If the o line keep protecting Russ like they have the last few weeks the passing game should be too much for their d.
Haven't heard if Kam is playing.

Seahawks hit the playoffs. 30-13 win against the Cleveland Browns

OK... What do we have to do from this point on?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

I'd like us to get the 5th seed and have to go to the NFC East winner, currently 6th would end up going to Green Bay which no one wants to do in Jan. Vikings @ Green Bay week 17 will have implications on our spot.

Can we dream the Eagles beat the Cardinals tonight, then the Packers beat them next weekend, we then beat them in the last week of the season to clinch the West :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

On the game itself, the Browns were better then I thought they would be. Defense left a few extra yards go with poor tackles.
Russell making NFL history tonight, what a stretch he and angry Doug are on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

Doug is certainly poking his critics in the eye. He must get sick of everyone saying he isn't a top-tier receiver (regardless of the truth of that, they keep SAYING it).

A wildcard race for us now. We have to match or beat the Vikings in the last two games to get 5th seed.

Rams next, somehow always the bogey team.
