3m guaranteed, not big money so may be worth a shot. He is probably not going to get many chances from now on so he should be motivated hopefully. Can't say I'm overly hopefully though

So schedule released at 1am tonight.

Hopefully the bye week falls later than last season, long run from week 4 to the end and the injuries racked up.

Travelling to GB, hopefully not too late in the season before it gets cold.

And lets keep the 1.30am games to as few as possible.

Aiming to go to the game @ Giants this season so hoping for a favourable date.

    First thoughts:

Great schedule this year, GB week 1 is tough but the best time of the year to play them.
Only back to back road games are Rams and Giants but with a bye in between we have no back to back weekends on the road.
    Only 4 1.30am games HOORAH!
Arguably our toughest home game V the Falcons comes after our Thurs night game and gives us 11 days to prepare for it.
Great game @ Dallas in week 16 on Christmas Eve, could have major playoff implications.

Barring injuries you'd be looking for 11 wins as the floor with that schedule.

If the Giants game was in December, I was also thinking of going (shopping and Xmas for wife, football for me) but October won't cut it unfortunately. We are going to Florida in June though so hoping to get some Seahawks gear without needing a mortgage.

It does look like a good schedule so let's hope we hit the ground running this year.

6 picks tonight, hopefully get a good haul

First pick is Malik McDowell, seems to be getting a mixed reaction, most saying that it's a good fit but a huge risk. A lot of stories about him playing up injuries last year, which doesn't make much sense to me considering it was his final year!

    OL second pick.

He's listed as a centre but can't see us moving Britt again. Probably guard

Just gave up watching after our 3rd and 4th picks were hidden in the break!

But only one O line pick so far which was a bit surprising.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Yeah we missed pick 90 and 95.

I stayed till the end as we had he second last pick last night.

Pick fourth tonight then a big gap.

Surprised in one way but then again the teams were philosophy is always defence first and our biggest FA signing was o line.

Came across this mmqb article from 3 weeks ago. Hadn't heard about this guy, cool story. Probably doesn't end up even making the practice squad but who knows

Also Amara Darboh (drafted in the third round) has an amazing back story

Kam signed on an extended contract so no faffing about this season.

    Great news.

    7 more weeks!

Have a lot of contracts coming up over next 2 years, not sure that there will be money to resign everyone. At moment have 29% of cap invested in secondary, highest in the league, which makes sense I suppose as Cam and Earl are the best duo in the league. Going to have to choose who not to invest in

A 48-17 win at the Chargers last night. Mostly second string out but still a nice start to pre-season

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Very nice on the scoreboard anyway.

I hear Richardson picked up a knock again - guy cant catch a break.

I wont get a proper look at the highlights until this evening.

    Another w last night.

First team played the first half.
Wilson looking lighter and back to full health was nailing his throws.

Kasen Williams doing mad things this preseason, another two quality catches.

O line left side looks good, right side still an issue. Though it looks like Fant is now out for the season so will need another reshuffle

Haven't seen highlight yet. That's disappointing about Fant, means Joekel probably plays tackle i suppose. And Glowinski or Odiambo to guard

Few o-linemen brought in, including giving up a fifth round pick next year.

See who lines out at the start on Friday night/sat morning.

3rd preseason game usually the last game you see the first team out for any serious length of time before the regular season kicks off.

Talk of lacy and kearse both not making the 53 man roster. Both need big games this weekend
