Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pressure from Wenger brings out a yellow from the refs pocket ?

What's the story with goals between three teams if Napoli win?

What kind of score do Napoli need?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Next foul from an Arsenal player will probably get a booking too

The ridiculous attempt to get the ball by climbing rosicky helped :)

If Dortmund win Napoli needs to be winning by 3 to be able to progress.

Another stupid mistake from Chez. FFS focus on the game.

    Half-way there

Touch biased here but I have to say Kos and Mert are the best centre half pairing in the prem lge at the moment. 2 of them are playing out of there skin.

Typical Benitez side need to win to qualify and they have created nothing

Kos the best CB for me this season.
I think Mert struggles when it's played in behind but teams haven't done that this season.

Don't think dunphy would agree. Isn't MERT the weak link in the german team.

    No match thread?!

Anyway this is the first time I've watched Napoli this season - is it the absence of Hamšík and İnler or are they always this "mechanical"? Horrid stuff, terrible use of space.

Napoli seem to be more intent on fouling us than playing some ball. I wonder did Rafa just think that we are the same from when he was in the premiership and we would roll over if they gave us a bit of a kicking?

Henry is as cool as they come.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

The one great thing for us is our bench actually gives us decent options for the 2nd half, three first team players to bring to change things.

I dont think its that they havent done it, its just Mertesacker has been clever and dropped that bit deeper. His postitional awareness is second to none always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

Anyone else think Henry looked annoyed at Chesney being criticised??

I thought that too. Redknapp was just critical for the sake of it. Chesney wasn't nervous he was trying to knock it over higuain because Chesney likes to troll.

Why is the ground so empty? The whole lower tier.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Ed Winchester

I'd love to see Henry give Redknapp a right smack in the chops. Then just sit down like nothing happened.

Don't like our mids letter players run at them and not try tackle, did it against Everton too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,458 ✭✭✭✭gandalf

Sigh why can't our players cross the ball!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,460 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Jasus Cazorla is playing very well tonight.
Wenger is going to have selection problems soon if we can keep them all fit. Lovely problem for him for a change.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,393 ✭✭✭Ed Winchester

Jenkinson always seems to hesitate for a split second which lets the defender block the cross.

Behrani is a dirty so and so

Was saying that yesterday. We are rubbish at crossing. I often wonder if they work at it at all.

I think they don't use the lower tier at the moment for some reason. Nearly sure one of the commentators mentioned something about it at the start.

Yep, clear forearm to Girouds jaw.

any striker with pace would have been through on goal there

Might be time to give Wally a run up front and rest Giroud until Saturday.
