Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What did Toure get for trying to break Giroud's leg?

I know Jack had to be disciplined but a 2 match ban :mad::mad::rolleyes:

Two matches for Jack but others only get one for the same thing.

Looks like he's Jack Sparrow in the picture posted by that very man.

Woj posted a video on facebook. Looks like Bendtner is Wally, Frimpong is Mr T, Arteta is Zorro, and Ryo is Fred Flinstone.

    Oh and Szczesny is Robocop.

Serious respect between Keane and Viera, an excellent watch.

Are we missing a powerhouse in midfield? Someone skilled in the dark arts? Flamini is dirty at times right, but doesn't really dominate a game like Patrick used to do.

Does Jack contesting the length of the ban mean he'll be able to play on Monday? No other reason why he would contest it

In fairness, every team is missing a Keane or Vieira.

Well should we be looking at someone in the Viera mould? Bigger, Stronger etc.

He reckoned we were short on leadership on the field, that if we didn't play well, we wouldn't win.

Wengeg only said the other day that player like
vieira and Keane arent needed in football anymore as its changing, its becoming more
technical and those players can't fit in.

    Not sure I agree.

they want him available for west ham would be the reason

According to DM Cashley cole joined our lads for Xmas party.

The Daily Mail reports: "Chelsea defender Ashley Cole joined rival team-mates from Arsenal as the Gunners celebrated their Christmas party on Wednesday night - despite Jose Mourinho cancelling his players' own festive bash."

I see Michael Owen was spouting off about Arsenal not being genuine contenders for the title again......adding that Liverpool are genuine contenders. In the scheme of things as the table stands, both are contenders so I don't know how he keeps coming out with this Arsenal will come 5th at the end of the season stuff that he goes on about.

I know I shouldn't let it bug me but it does bug me on principle because if these guys are commentating on games they should at least 'pretend' to be impartial.....

Starting to think Owen does it to get a reaction. If that's the case, he shouldn't be commentating.

Do you think Vermaelen will leave or will he make the Belgian team anyway?

On beating the "big teams" - do Liverpool count as a big team? We beat them this season or because they are out of the top 4 for so long they need to get back into it before we can consider them a "big team"? Just an honest question.

It's hard to say with vermaelen it would all depend on how much game time he will get .
Well in fairness anything insides the top 8 would be considered a big team to play because they are the most likely to take points off a team . So yes beating Liverpool would be considered a big win . Plus factor in if Liverpool had of won that game they would be top of the league right now .

I don't know about that Toure has always reminded me of Vieira with his bursting runs from inside his own half and the way he can grab a game by the scruff of the neck a player I have always said I would love in an Arsenal jersey.

I don't know hard to compare but I reckon he is on a par with both just nostalgia clouds most peoples judgement. He is a fantastic player on his day.

And i just heard that BT sport will show arsenal vs united.

    Seriously wtf?

Sky seems pointless now? How can BT show all the best games all of a sudden?

BT outbid Sky for the rights simple really. They get the right to pick matches before Sky.

It's nostalgia. Vieira was great but look what City fans will remember from Toure's first few seasons.

Dominating midfield, getting played behind the striker as a variation and doing great there, winning a league, banging in free kicks. And that's not even taking into account his time at Barca.

    The only difference is longevity.

And it works out more expensive to subscribe to both sky sports and BT.

So what is the point of adding more competition to view matches when all it does is increase the price for many?

What happens if another channel comes in and outbids and shows another selection of games? See where i am getting at.

this is redicolous and many are complaining. We much prefer if either BT or SKY monopolise the market as it works out cheaper!
