Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Quick question guys...just wondering does anyone know what the difference is between the full red membership and the "lite" version which is £5 cheaper? Can]t see any info on the site about it.

I think you don't get the membership pack with the lite version

Ak ok didn't think of that, thanks! Was looking at the price for two memberships so i could get two tickets together and two lite ones by direct debit would cost £52. Tempted to go for it.

Please double check before you order them in case it's something different but I'm nearly certain that is the only difference - you won't get the scarf and badges :)

We get a tonne of transfer rumours so is their any chance we can limit it to reliable sources this time? Sick of all these fake ITK's who link us to everyone and anyone.

Ozil, on the other hand, is Muslim, but even he is probably a Sunni, as apparently 75% of German Muslims are, and the few (7%) Shi'ite's are mostly of Iranian ancestry.

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_Germany

So I'd guess none of our players (in the first team, anyway) are Shi'ite at all.

Reminds me of a great joke from Jason Manford:

What does Islam have in common with the weather in Manchester?

    It's either Sunni or Shi'ite!

Giroud has confirmed on Twitter that he will not be in the squad today due to illness.

This implies that he will be fully fit for our next game against Villa.

Apparently no Szczesny today - Fabianski in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Twitter suggesting that Fabianski will start today. I don't have a major issue with that - as long as he doesn't mess up of course:D

I don't really have a problem with it although it does indicate Wenger isn't taking this game as seriously as he suggested.

Robert Lewandowski has signed for Munich anyways. Will join in the summer.
There goes what slim chance we had with him.

Edit: Bit off topic but that is such a shame. The German League now has almost become pointless. Would never see City sell Utd their two best players or vice versa.

Bendtner out for 4 - 6 weeks. If we do buy a striker, the transfer window will be about to close and NB will be back in training.

It's funny how So many of our fringe players get injured around this time.

Wonder if that's down to lack of match fitness, and then when they are called upon they then struggle to keep up?

Isn't his contract up soon? Don't think they can stop the transfer anymore...

Yeah up in the Summer. Just a shame to see a team like Dortmund getting picked apart for its best players by the Big German Institution that is Munich.
Probably the most anti-competitive top league in Europe now.

Bendtner's was caused by Marshall landing on his amkle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,608 ✭✭✭cathalio11

Chamberlain is injured due to a cruciate injury caused by impact.

Bendtner is injured due to an ankle injury caused by impact.

Diaby, despite being injury prone, is injured due to a very serious cruciate injury which would have been caused in a collision.

Ramsey is typically not an injury prone player so I was surprised to see his thigh give way and I'm sure that injury was due to the fact he played almost every minute of the season.

I think Arsenal got through last season with very few injuries so I would personally not blame the club for the current situation.
Gibbs has been due a calf injury to be honest. Think it is the 3rd or 4th of his professional career.

RedAction were making big calls for flags and banners in the last few weeks and are displaying them on the North Bank before kick off. Hope we get some good pics and it turns out well. Huge improvement on atmosphere this season imo.

So hearing that Gnabry, Walcott and Podolski are up front with Theo as centre forward. Merts rested. Monreal and Rosicky in starting line up

With Spurs high line Walcott will have a field day.

Would almost be a good thing for us to go out at this stage so we can concentrate on flogging the same 15 players in one less competition.

Pump sp*rs and let's keep in it - FA cup is still a great trophy to fight for.

The last time we lined out without Mert we conceded 6.
Let's hope our defence is focused fully today.
I would rather have rested Mert for a home game against some other team.

Seems a silly thing to do especially up against a big lad like Adebayor who is a big aerial threat. Would of rather seen Koscielny rested instead of Mert.

Me too. Mert seems to be the leader on the field these days with Flamini when he's playing. Can't understand why he's rested for this game with 9 days till the next game with Villa.

Arsenal FA Cup team v Spurs: Fabianski, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal, Arteta, Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Gnabry, Walcott

    a noticeably small line up

Not as small as Spurs's chances of winning ;)
