Not far off Diaby in terms of how injured he is. Perhaps Arsene is looking to get Abou a buddy - no seriously, it's not going to happen.

There isn't a position we need to fill less than centre or attacking mid.
Can't wait to be linked with him again in the Summer.

    Just a short list then...

I like the idea of Griezmann cause he's young and can probably go up front at times plus he can dribble.

But that'd be Walcott, Griezmann, Ox and Gnabry.

Would be nuts to spend 40 million on Draxler then.

Something like Griezmann now and Costa in the summer would be pretty cool though.

IMO we'd just need a 4th CB to have a complete squad.

In time then we could just sign excellent young players to come in instead of people like Bac and Arteta.

Was it Southampton at home? That feels like an awful long time ago!

Does anybody know if Jerry Flannery is still with Arsenal? I know he went on work experience with the club and helped with the strength and conditioning of the players.

some Puma gear posted on twitter, and yes WTF is that on Henry :pac:

    BdpO-zHCcAAEt02.jpg

    BdpRz5PCIAEWjF-.jpg

    https://twitter.com/C_Creger

the guy also reckons he know the primary colours of the three kits, home - red (really putting his neck on the line there), away - yellow, third - blue
    keepers to be green

ties in with what arseblog posted about it not long ago
    http://news.arseblog.com/2013/12/kitty-leaks-arsenals-puma-third-kit-is-green-and-blue/
The away kit will be ‘estate blue / empire yellow’. (available mid-summer 2014)
The ‘cup’ kit will be ‘methyl blue / estate blue / lime green’. (available autumn 2014)
The goalkeeper kit will be ‘lime green’ with an alternative in ‘black ebony’. (available mid-summer 2014)
Training jersey will be ‘high risk red / grey dawn / estate blue / white’.
There’s a host of other training stuff in various combinations of ‘high risk red / white’ and yellow and blue, including padded training tops, reversible jackets, rain jackets and leisure jackets.

EDIT: this on the Henry top
yes ..inside the puke stain is pics of arsenal winning trophies. Invincibles, Adams, George, wenger. Just hard to see

Is Lloris trying to smother a laugh?? :o As bad a penalty as I've seen in a long time. Chamakh had won it and all.

It actually looks like he was trying to miss, the technique is absolutely terrible, maybe he's backed Spurs to win.

That one with Thierry Henry looks like someone got sick on a Tottenham jersey. Surely can't be real.

that one's getting a massive negative reaction - quite rightly! it looks like one of my babys nappies. i think its a training top.

I like the fleeces but the one on Henry has to be a training top and nothing more - it's terrible.

    Bar the puke one obviously.

...or maybe Puma leaked it to get good/bad feedback and then make changes based on this...

Maybe somebody was feeling a bit funny the day they approved that particular design.

I think it outdoes Liverpool's away jersey for horribleness. That's some achievement.

As pukey as the puke shirt is, apparently it has images of former Arsenal greats like Adams and the Invincibles.

    Get well soon Theo.

Hope the injury doesn't take away Theo's pace.

I feel by bulking up over the years he has lost a little bit of the acceleration he had in his teens when he first joined.

He is still very very quick, just not as explosive over the first few yards as he used to be, over 30 - 40 metres he is still probably as quick as he has ever been though

You can see sometimes with Theo that he is hesitant to take people on, very rarely does he get into a foot race these days.Few years back he would always look to knock it ahead of his man and do a Thierry.

Arsene think's he will be fine, will he?

Not only going on tonight's game watching him since we were linked
He is worth 30/40 million I really don't think so

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

Maybe not but that's the going rate these days for a player like him.

I predict he makes his big money move in the summer and flops

Really don't see the big deal

Has he not scored 19 goals already or something? Suppose he could just be a more exotic Andy Carroll in the making though.

Think ya need too look at more than goal scoring stats when it comes to la liga too

I would have been dismissive of him before this season but he has been a revelation this year

Ya I'm still not convinced Costa would be worth a huge transfer fee, although he is having a very good season.

    Did you see Berbatov today?
He was very poor and missed a few handy chances.

I don't think he's like that all the time though.

That's pretty much only going one way.

Chelsea Utd next week could be of some use. Very very outside chance City might drop points at Spurs the week after too.

The week after City and Chelsea play each other.

We just need to beat Villa - let the others worry about their games.

I think Griezmann would be a perfect January transfer, not too big a fee at €15 million. Perfect replacement for Walcott, and can play on both wings and striker!

Talk that the Basques want twice that for him though.

We can't expect to sign one of the best young players in Europe to be signed cheaply, especially not if PSG are also linked with the player, Real Sociedad will just hold out and wait for PSG to come after him.

My mind is torn, I'd love Griezmann, but then I'd also love Draxler and Costa, its grea to be linked with players of such quality though, hopefully we can make some sort of deal.
