Well, I'm not sure how "Respectful" Wenger is towards other clubs with transfers.

Fair enough, he doesn't play mind games at press conferences, but some French clubs (especially Auxerre) have been very annoyed with Arsenal sneakily tapping up players.

So don't want a week of speculation with this! One can really get into it. Thing is I while I appreciate he is an outrageous talent I don't think he is going to the difference in the league in the sense that he won't become a striker overnight and we are very well stocked in the AMC/AML/AMR role right now.

Podolski is our best left sided player, and probably our only natural one and Wenger seems reluctant to start him, I think Draxler could definitely make an impact this season.

Having said that though, even if he doesn't I would rather sign him now and have the next few months be his bedding in period rather than him having to adapt for the first half of next season. Would be great to start next season with him fully settled into the squad and raring to go.

Ya but Cazorla is our number 1 pick as the left sided midfielder with Podolski 2. My fear is that the money used on Draxler may hamper attempts to get a top striker in the summer.

I'd say this will be one Wenger is going to play as a striker or out wide depending on what he needs. It will be a great signing and be yet another statement of how serious we are. I'll be happy with out attacking options if we get Draxler, I don't think we'll need a striker in the summer.
