Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

good man, I kept Giroud, so many points lost.
Though, Walcott not playing, will actually give me another 12 points in FF.

Had Rambo since day one

...someone in here mentioned he would be our star player this year.

Bet Moyes wished he had a Wishhere/Cazorla/Ozil/Rambo/Ox/Walcott/Arteta today! Look at that rubbish in their mid.

I thought I was good by having him before last week-ends double.

    Kudos.

    Mata is a genius.

Can't see Wenger buying another midfielder. Where would he go?
Love to see us going for Suarez again...I know there are mixed feelings in here on that one but he is absolutely unreal.

    All this week without Cazorla.

    Isn't that special.

    Ah gutted.

    But doesn't matter.

Spurs are magnetically incapable of finishing ahead of Arsenal.

We dodged a bullet with Fellani

People were screaming at Wenger to activate his clause for 23 million or whatever it was, not even half way through the transfer window. Wenger beginning the genius that he is kept his cool, took the criticism and incessant complaining from the media and ''fans'' and got the indomitable Flamini on a free. Outstanding stuff.

Can't help thinking Liverpool city and Chelsea all got to play united at a great time, and took advantage of it, I'm sure they will improve soon.

I think that's harsh he will be a great player 4 them in time

What were people's thoughts on Walcott not playing?
Did we play better without him?

I didn't get to see the full match.

Nah I thought we missed him. Gnarby did well but came inside a lot so it was a very narrow game. Theo keeps the play wider and the defence looking behind so creating more space for the lads in the middle.

Gnarby looked neat, strong and fairly resourceful on the ball there is quality there

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 9,425 ✭✭✭FearDark

Missed him in the first half for sure, Gnarbry was slowing things down for us, taking safe passes, no imagination whatsoever but in the second half he seemed to gain confidence and was much better. I'll be glad to see Theo come back, that was a game where we could have really used his pace, there were two or three passes to Giroud today that he couldn't get to but Theo could have.

true, still this meant that Man Utd got only 7 points out of a potential 15.
I guess we are now counting who loses points on "easy" games.
City lost at Cardiff and drew at Stoke.
    Chelsea lost at Everton.
    Liverpool lost home from Southampton
We lost home from Aston Villa.
Utd's lost points were against big teams, though you would expect them to have 2-3 more points.
Spuds lost to us, and won the other four games 1-0. Though it doesn't make for great headlines, it serves the purpose, 12 points for them in the bag and second place.

I'd say the game at Swansea will be very interesting. Difficult game, I would consider a draw as a good result. But if we win it, we show everybody that we mean business.

    Fly Emirates :pac:

As far as I can gather it was something to do with Arsenal being in Islington for 100 years. Not sure of the exact lettering.

    100 yrs annoying spurs!
Ironic we sit directly above them on this day!

Just realised my Arsenal shirt doesn't have the vents on the sides.

Would anyone be interested in a shirt swap? I have quite a few old ones that don't fit anymore :( Yellow champs lge final one with Henry on the back, burgandy and gold home jersey for last year at Highbury and a ton more that I can't fit into anymore.

    Too fat.

Was in work today this is becoming a bad habit for me :(,but did watch the game on Sky Go as best I could. Dying for match of the day now

I think we looked solid Gnabry once again impressed me I know people are saying he lacked creativity but I think he has it just probably confidence and nerves. But did read somewhere he had the highest pass completion of any player on the pitch?

Oh and doesn't sitting on top of the league feel nice again its been to long. It some run were on, since January ourselves and Spurs have the best form in the league poor basterds can never catch a break :pac:.

Wenger tells BBC Cazorla, Podolski, Rosický & Chamberlain won't be back until after international break.
What we already knew, but would have been nice to get a few back!

To be fair to God (!), it was only 3 weeks ago that he gave you Arsenal beating Spurs, Dubs beating Kerry and United also losing (to Pool)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,746 ✭✭✭✭Galvasean

    Ramsey 7 (3)
    Giroud 5 (4)
    Podolski 2 (2)
    Mertesacker 1 (1)
    Sagna 1 (1)

    Gibbs 1 (0)
    Walcott 1 (0)

    (League goals in brackets)

    :D

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 9,425 ✭✭✭FearDark

Walcott needs to start chipping in with a few goals now, he's well capable.

So realistically can we mount a title challenge this season?

I think so yes and I tought so during the summer aswell. My biggest fear is a bad inury to Giroud and injuries in general. If we can get players back fit and keep them fit then yes without a doubt. None of the usual top teams have overly impressed me so far this season.
