Someone said it earlier that they were excited about him being back! I have to admit I am a little bit too! This is his last chance to make something decent of his career and it will be interesting to see if he steps up.

If he performs as we are all expecting what type of club can he expect to sign for in the summer?

He'd be doing well if a German or Italian mid table club took a chance on him I reckon.

    Great news for Paddy Power.

If Big Game Bendtner plays and he bursts his ass and works hard I can him playing his way back into the club.

Its his only chance of getting a big contract next season.

If bendy is serious about getting in shape and doing a job we'll accept him into the fold.

There's a lot of flamini love at the moment and bendtner should take him as an example.

    Flamini love +1

A fantastic signing, nearly as good as Ozil (I know, I know), for the experience and mindset that he brings back to the club.

Happy to have Flamini see out the last years of his career with us.

A friend of mine in London has just told me that Ramsey has a thigh injury and is having a scan tomorrow. Hope he's joking. We have more than enough injuries as it is.

    Anyone hear this?

It would put us back on top of the injury table.

Anyone still thinking we should play a strong side now?

We should revert to the old way of doing it. Reserves, Youth's and players needing games all the way. Absolutely no need to risk first choice players.

I dont know the younger players as well as I used to since we no longer treat the League Cup as we used to. Used to be a great indicator of who to keep an eye on.

Interesting how the Germans see us after we signed Ozil

Below is from Bild, the German tabloid. I wonder will our new club crest catch on?

I'd be hoping for something like this tomorrow night:

    Fabianski

    Jenkinson
    Hayden
    Vermaelen
    Monreal

    Flamini

    Gnabry
    Eisfeld
    Miyachi

    Park
    Bendtner

Mixture of first teamers, youth players and those who are playing for any hope of a decent career. Maybe Akpom in for Park. Should give this game a good go but not risk players. Would think Flamini might get a run out with Arteta returning to fitness.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,608 ✭✭✭cathalio11

    My prediction for tomorrow night:

    Viviano

    Jenkinson
    Mertesacker----Vermaelen----Monreal

    Flamini
    Arteta

    Gnabry
    Ozil (Or young guy)
    Myaichi

    Bendtner

I'll be shocked if Ozil is even on the bench.

Well there he is! Might get some decent odds on a Park hattrick

Anybody looking forward to seeing Viviano in goal tomorrow, he has slipped under the radar a bit with the signing of Ozil and to a lesser extent Flamini, it will be interesting to see how he does as Chesneys decision making does not inspire me with any confidence whatsoever.

I could well see this (maybe Frimpong for Flamini, with Flamini to replace Arteta when he tires). Strong CB pairing, as we are away to a Premier League side. If we play 4 non-first-teamers up front, could be toothless - so Ozil could indeed start. If not, would think he will be on the bench given the squad training pictures on the Arsenal site

We cant be having Ozil start lads I reckon give him the night off, he is a key player for us so it would be devastating seeing him pick up an injury in what is a game that really isn't high on our priorities. Its interesting to see a lot of people picking Gnabry on the wing in there teams, he is seen to better effect playing in the attacking midfield role, that's were he plays for the German U21s.

My team for tomorrow night would be
    Gk Viviano
    Rb Jenks
    Cb Mert
    Cb Verm
    Lb Monreal
    Rw Ryo
    Cm Flamini
    Cm Arteta
    AttMid Gnarby
    Lw Gibbs
    Cf Bendtner

Nice team above. Wouldn't play Gibbs LW though.

Just for fitness reasons. Quite an injury prone player.

My thought exactly. Other than that I would be OK with that team.
Very bad chain of injuries. Obviously bad luck that happened all together, it does make me wonder though, if there something wrong with the training system. . .

I think it's mainly luck. Last season we were almost perfect regarding injuries. No big issues.

An argument can be made that they train players harder than many other clubs which has it's clear advantages and clear disadvantages.

    Who knows.

Conditioning training would be the main cause of our injuries, do we have a rugby conditioning trainer or was I hearing things :o

    Viviano
    Jenkinson Mert Vermaelen Monreal
    Flamini Frimpong
    Ryo Arteta Gnabry
    Bendtner

Im expecting to see something like that. Id prefer to see Mert rested but cant really see for who. I saw some people putting Jenks in centre back but I cannot see Wenger doing that. He will go for a stronger team that many in here expect imo.

Lads ive missed last few games due to work and lack of internet connection how is the team playing in general how is ozil reacting to pace of premiership i seen he has a a few assists already? Everyone is talking about ramsey for the right reasons at last is there a huge improvment in his game?
One of the lads says flamini was brilliant sunday?

In regards to our need for another striker, would we have any chance of Hernandez from United? Instead of Rooney. Hernandez is younger, cheaper, on a much lower wage and likely wouldnt be as hard to manage. For some reason, he rarely gets a game but whenever he does play, he plays very well. He is more than capable of scoring too, just under a goal every two appearances for United. If we're looking for a striker (and we should be) he and Suarez would be my first choices.

Ramsay is playing like he did at the end of last season, except he's scoring too. Top class in every game.

Ozil was excellent against Sunderland, ran the show, and less good (but still good) from open play in the other two games but put in some great balls against Stoke for the assists. Flamini has been great, brings great drive and energy to the team.

Funny to see Arteta and Flamini now on the same team and the only players that remain from that game.

From that my team would be:

    Viviano
    Jenks--Mert--TV--Nacho
    Flamini--Arteta----
    Eisfeld---Gnabry---Ryo
    GSTEL

Looks like Bendtner has changed his squad number to 23
    Is Frimpong injured?

Jan Vertongen brings a whole new level of last ditch defending. When still only 1-0 to Spurs vs Villa.

On a more related note hopefully tonight we will see Viviano and a nice mix of youth and experience.

Glad to see most of our key players absent. Would like to see Park get a run out. Surely Gnabry will start. Shame Zelalem isn't fit.
