Hi guys iv recently moved back in with some friends who live in terenure and we were only discussing the other night how we haven't gone out locally just yet. Normally we just end up in the city center.

We are looking for a spot that's got people in their late 20's - 30's. With a decent atmosphere, noting too mental, we wanna find a place where we can chill out but have a dance if we wanna.

    Any ideas

Terenure? I think not...they tend to be full of older, stuffy sort of people.

Try Rathmines down the road a bit.

Lots of places in rathmines and further down onto wexford street...you *could* try Vaughn's in terenure across from bank of Ireland..it has a big beer garden and a slightly younger crowd so it might be what you want.

most of the places in Ranelagh village would probably suit you also. get off at the luas station and wander through the village. Smyths is a great pub.

Not technically youre area but there is a new bar opened called house on leeson street. looks very cool. large garden and basically a converted hotel turned into a bar. its city centre but would be a great place to meet with a group as a starting point. its where kobra used to be.

What about good places to eat in Terenure? Is there anywhere you can get a beer and something decent to eat?

JD's steakhouse does a good steak and has a cheap earlybird menu.
