Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The au pairs in Kilkenny usually meet up using this facebook page. She won't be long finding friends.

    Hi,

We have an aupair from Spain. Most of the time her & her Spanish friends on a Saturday night will be in Matt the Millers, Peagus or the Left Bank.

Your aupair will have no problem finding the half - dozen 'Las Chicas' that are out together.

Hi all, we are a family based in Kilkenny city and recently have been discussing the idea of inviting an aupair to join our family for a year- for those that already have an aupair can I ask if you can recommend an agency or how you found your aupair? Any recommendations or pitfalls to avoid? Thanks

    Hi,

we have our first au pair since March & it has been great. She is really part of the familiy & is like a very helpfull older sister.
We did not use an agency but found her on
    http://www.aupair-world.net/aupair_search

As for pitfalls be sure that you will be happy to share your home & make her/him welcome. Be sure you know what type of skills /person that you want. It is also important to do a detailed job description for both of ye so that everyone has a clear understanding of their duties to each other and that all of ye agree to it before s/he comes.
Apart from that try & skype the candidates so that you geta feel for the person. I would also recomend getting someone who is 20+ & has a bit of maturity.

    Sean
