Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hotpoint Dishwasher/Cream and Beige

Hotpoint Dishwasher plug went on fire and melted some of the plug and wire.

Wondering does anyone know of a place which buys dishwashers for parts? I'm sure the racks inside, washer fan, even the door would be of great use to someone who fixes them etc. Basically looking to send it into a repair shop for a couple of quid toward my new dishwasher. Just don't know of any. I know stores like DIY and PowerCity wouldn't do this.

Been without one for 3 months and it's becoming a pain in the butt. Any help is greatly appreciated, you guys can be very informative.

    Thanks in advance.

why not stick a new lead and plugtop on it and put it back to work, most likely the wall socket caused the burn especially if it had its original plugtop fitted.

If that's the case replace the socket too. It's often loose contacts in the socket itself that cause sparking and carbon build up which results in the overheating.

Have tried the new plug on it right after it blew and also in a new socket, doesn't work. Thanks though.
