    Hi,

Where's the best place to watch the All Ireland final on Sunday? Do they show GAA matches in pubs?

    Cheers ..

Well as a Mayoman, this is of major importance to me. AFAIK, the mercantile will be closed for the match. 24hr pubs are probably the only option. Cheers, Scruffys and the casino comes to mind but cheers and scruffys will be mental and I for one wont be watching it in there.
Theres pj gallaghers, think it was formerly the criterion, beside town hall that is 24hrs so thats where i think il be watching it. Fail that, home is another option.

The Gaelic club in Surry hills was empty last year when we watched the hurling.
Cheers and scruffys you need to be in early, huge queues last year at cheers, mate of ours called us and said the GC was showing it and was very quiet. Had commentary on and big screen.
Though that was the reply and for some reason we had the Monday off.
Casino sports bar another one. Possibly coach and horses randwick

PJ Gallaghers (Criterion) on Pitt St & Park St is ideal. Was there for Dublin v Kerry. Not as packed as Scruffies and Cheers, commentary on and a decent sized screen.

Despite having Setanta the Coach and Horses close early on a Sunday night (around 11.30) so wouldn't be an option.

any one go to PJ Gallaghers last night for the hurling? much good?

need to find a decent spot for the football, seen the kerry v dub semi in scruffys, wasn't impressed with the amount of scumbags there.
