Pubs/Restaurants in Limerick with outdoor smoking areas at back of premises

    Hi Folks,

As the title suggests can anyone recommend anywhere? I have friends coming to Limerick for the weekend who are smokers. However they hate smoking on the side of the street. Prefably city centre. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    None I can think of.

Edit: I think the George has a smoking area, not sure what the restaurant is like.

Edit 2: just to clarify, I didn't see pub in the title, only saw restaurant.

Cornstore has one. Dolan's also, if you prefer a pub. I think I saw one in the Savoy as well.

Mill bar, corbally. We had a work do out there and it was lovely. Way out of the city centre though.

    What about the locke bar?

Ah, the outback in Nancys will surely do the trick, no?

Outside the Locke seated if the weather is fine?

    The mill bar, Annacotty.

The back of the Bailey (small, I know)?

The covered seated area in front of clohesseys?

None of these are the typical 'outside the front door' set ups where you have to stand by an ashtray.

    Curragower is a great spot!

    Don't forget Cobblestone Joe's.

There are actually very few pubs in Limerick that DON'T have an off-street smoking area. Bentley's beer garden is fantastic

Loads of pubs with well appointed smoking areas.

Nancy Blakes, The Office, The Old Quarter all in the Denmark St area, along with both Flannerys on the same street.

The Orchard Bar on Michael St/Bank Place.

    Jerry Flannerys on Catherine St.

    Aubars on Thomas St.

    Willie Sextons on Henry St.

    Tom Collins on Cecil St.

Wow there are a lot of pubs out there that I didn't think of! Do most of those serve food as well?
Thanks for all the replies so far!

    O Connells in Newtown
    BEST pub steak in Limerick

As you said preferably in town and not at the side of the street that rules out alot of the places mentioned and some of the places mentioned such as the Mill, O Connells etc.are'nt even in the City and Costelloes cage is in the Nite Club!!

If you are looking for a clean nice/heated courtyard that are bright and get sun by day and are safe and secure inside the building and not the side of a street (no matter how much you dress it up) my choices are

    a) Nancy Blakes
    b) The sun terrace in Mike Flannerys Pub
    c) Bobby Byrnes - and very good food
    d) Cobblestones
    e) The Curragower - my favorite by day and great food

How about the Ardhu Bar on the Ennis road?

Great place and I live very close and its my Dads local but the OP asked for "preferably City Center" so i did'nt include it. The Curragower is a bit of a stretch I admit.

JJ bowles if it hasnt been mentioned has one of the best "beer gardens" in the city as well as one of the best pints of the black stuff!

Agree on the food in Collins, but it's pricey. Good place to watch a match, have a few pints, and some grub, as well as a smoke outside!

I wouldnt agree on the food in Collins, its mediocre pub food at best!

And looks like we might have a collins employee/owner on boards :D

Don't work there! Barely go in there, but was in there recently around 5pm, and was stuffed with the feed I got. Have been in there for a few of the six nations games for pints, that's the last time I was in.
Too many kids running around there usually for my liking.
