    We heard months ago the Central Bank bought the Anglo shell from NAMA and plan finishing it and moving all their staff to one office block instead of the current situation with rented offices in the city centre and IFSC.

    Anyone any idea when they plan on starting the building again? Nothing has moved since that announcement. Anyone know why the hold up or what's the central bank's plan?

    They are putting the job out to tender at the moment and hope to start building in March 2014 with a move-in date of sometime in 2016. So a year later than they originally hoped;

    Be nice to see it finished alright, its an eye-sore the way it is.

    Saw a few lads in high vis jackets there today.Despite the downturn there is a chronic lack of modern commercial property in Dublin at the moment.There's plenty of scope for more office space in the docklands.

    The completion of the central bank building and the moving in off the staff will bring a lot of other shops and cafe/restaurants to the surrounding area. Not to mention the likely building of more office blocks. KPMG are interested in moving into a new office block nearby on the north quays

    I hope it gets going, in fact the whole area is very underexploited. Which makes no sense, really, given its location.
