Australia are not protecting their ruck ball at all. I'm glad I'm not an Aussie, I would have smashed the computer screen by now.

This is what I am talking about by the Boks....getting real nasty now...

    Stuffing to the Australians!

Think your money is safe, Ugo! Surprised by how sloppy Australia have been in the red zone. You can't go down there multiple times and not score.

Australia should really have someone in the bin

Robbie Deans deserves an official apology from the Aussie public. Sorry, but it's your team that is average not your coach. Australia will have to up the intelligence ++ in the second half. For a start that means not gifting 3 pointers to Steyn. With a bit of constructed ball, the Aussie backs can strike.

Ireland really have to target this fixture in the AIs. I have seen nothing from Aussie in recent times that should make Schmidt & the lads tremble.

Australia just play dumb rugby. They fancy their x-factor over tactics. Rugby is really all about tactics, not skill IMO.

The good thing for me about this performance is arguably the Bok bench is stronger than there starting team.

16 Adriaan Strauss, 17 Gurthrö Steenkamp, 18 Coenie Oosthuizen, 19 Juandré Kruger, 20 Siya Kolisi, 21 Jano Vermaak, 22 Pat Lambie, 23 Jan Serfontein.

Kruger, Steenkamp and Kolisi are arguably a upgrade.

Strauss and Oostie will come on.

Boks d has been a huge upgrade!

O Conner looks the only player capable of breaking it

SA knew they could run it behind the try line with the Aussie scrum being crap.

    Queue the SA pen!

EDIT: Or not, strongest Aussie scrum of the day, including the scrums where SA were down to 7 in the pack.

Good start, can they keep it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

    Jaysus Clancy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Hooper, Cooper, Ashley-Cooper. They like that combo.

Alexander on for Australia. That should shore up the creaking scrum.

Clancy FFS. Nothing wrong with the quick tap, nothing wrong with the tackle. Let. The. Game. Flow.

Thought the tackle was definitely dangerous tbh, yellow deserved

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,207 ✭✭✭decisions

Not sure if I'd give a yellow for that.

Edit: on second viewing, I can see why he did.

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

Oh dear Clancy has had a shocker there.

Thought it was not dreadful first half but now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

A yellow card for putting a player on his ass. Load of rubbish.

Tiddlywinks. Rugby is not. Maybe fractionally above the horizontal.

What a joke, yellow card and 3 points for a bloody tackle that lands a player right on his back.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,207 ✭✭✭decisions

    Nothing in that one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

He's only glanced him. Good call no yellow.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

Clancy taking the piss going to the tmo for every decision. Killing the game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Should have been a red there, nearly killed Ashley-Cooper.

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

Kruger needs to come on Flippers...has made a bit of a mess

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,456 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Ah twas yellow alright. Hope George has an early flight though!

Ive no problem in looking at infractions prior to scoring but this endless reviewing is gonna get tiresome

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

AAC with a soccer-esque dive, but it was a definite penalty.

I'm actually agreeing with Clancy more this half. The tackle on Habana was dangerous, so a deserved yellow.

EDIT: Leinster fans will be happy with how composed ZK looks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

He's a very simple, effective player. Put him in a different system, running off guys like Madigan and he could be that with a potent attacking element too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

    Waste of 3 points.

Its exciting anyway, even if it isn't perfect rugby.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

    What a try!

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

    Disgusting hit on Habana!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Great try, but Habana looks bad.

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

    Kruger made that basketball catch.

    Fantastic stuff

    Disgusting hit on Habana!
    ???

He jumped in the air, and Habana ran into it

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

    Great try, Falou skinned

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

Prior to that hit you'd barely know Cooper was playing.

Cooper flunked the tackle and deliberately took habana out. Cheap shot , wouldn't expect anything else from him!

Looked like Cooper lead with the shoulder to Habana's head for me

He was in the air and his knee (possibly) caught Habana.Thats what it looked like for me. (Might see another replay).

I'm no fan of Cooper and his antics, but I don't think he could do anything there.

If it was anyway deliberate, Clancy would have looked at it.

He's looked at everything else tonight!

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

    Fantastic stuff from Etzebeth there.

Its still surprises me how athletic a big man can be

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,599 ✭✭✭matthew8

I remember contepomi got a yellow for less against quins in 2009. Fwiw I think Cooper deliberately jumped to pretend he couldn't get out of the way.

  • Registered Users Posts: 924 ✭✭✭Emperor1989

    Thats a fantastic try!!!!!!

Lot of people laughed at me on the betting thread when i backed the Boks to win the rugby championship. They have a real chance

It's all coming together for Meyer's boks. Go for the BP!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Knockon?

    Nope, just about, lucky boy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,456 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Messy team stuff but some amazing individual skills on show. Good man Sideshow, repaid the faith today

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,221 ✭✭✭Ugo Monye spacecraft experience

Ugo won money on soccer last night. He then decided to lump the winnings on SA +4 as well as a substantial bet earlier on the week for SA + 5

Easily the most money I've ever had on one single bet. Queue Australian landslide
