looking to start cycling

    Hi there,
    I recently bought a bike through the btw scheme and im looking start doing some decent cycling. Im a beginner and want to know if there its any cycling clubs groups in the ringsend/ irishtown area, or anyone interested in doing a little cycling at the weekend's.
    any information will be yearly appreciated

    Heya Ozzyboy30. You'll probably get a better response in the main forum, you've accidentally posted in the training logs forum.

    Cycling clubs typically start accepting members around the start of October, so it's a good time to be starting out.

    Did you buy a bike with drop-bars or straight flat-handlebars? Most clubs will only allow drop-bars on their rides - I think the reason is that flat-bars can catch drop-bars with hilarious results ;)
