Yes, I know, I was wrong, thankfully.

If Roche had of waited he might have been able to go with Horner or Valverde, would have probably jumped ahead of Pozzovivo. Still he looked stronger than Pozzo today, so that looks good for the days to come.

    Great call earlier Pelvin.

Cheers, I got lucky in terms of who I wanted to win but Barguil looks real class. His team manger he's saying told him not to go solo but he went anyway. A free spirit.

    Any sign of betancur?

Whod have thought there would have been a chink in Nibbles armour. The Angrilu is gonna be some penultimate stage at this rate.

Pitty Nico only got one second on Pozzivivo but he looked far stronger than him today. Pinot on the otherhand is a real threat to him on the final GC.

    Any sign of betancur?

I expect him and Farrar to be in a sprint for 160th place on the stage

I am really surprised how badly Betancur is going, I thought after the Giro that he would do something in this.

    Any sign of betancur?

I am almost sure Betencur is boycotting the race and just going round ...as he felt he was made to go to the Vuelta by team

If he does come out to play it will be on Saturday for the iconic stage

Nibali looked a bit weaker today.....Unfortunately Horner is still looking like a machine

I think there will be some attacking on the flat stage on Wednesday .....it could come down to a very few seconds in GC so every second counts
Pozzovivo not as strong as Roche on the flatter terrain so Nico needs ot do something there

He should have waited for Valverde today ...he chased the Ag2r riders

Is there good odds on that? It's a pretty safe bet.

sorry i didnt reply, i put more details on the daily blog it was 8/15 with ladbrokes, i would have said it was a 1/3 shot at most

I could be totally wrong and I'm not a cycling regular like the rest of you guys but from those videos he seems to really like Nico, or is that more to do with the fact Nico is there leading GC guy and the team has to work around him?

Well Nico is very likeable ....he is honest, modest and very hard working and high in his praise of others...a good team player

Plus he is an asset to any team as he bring a lot of good PR both by his own hand and my the nature of his background.....what's not to like :D

Betancur came 82nd and 16'12 down, disappointed didn't break the top 50 :(

Ya, I love the vuelta. I never get that excited before the giro and I watch it to get me in the mood for the tour, which often disappoints in terms of entertainment and excitement.

The vuelta though is generally fantastic to watch, and this year is no exception.

MOD NOTE: Post edited, on holiday till the end of the week

Love the Vuelta ....It really is a race for the hard men.....there is no let up at all ......

The Spaniards do lit it up.....but I admit I would like it better if Horner was not in the top 10....... I think he actually may win it

He must have a weak point somewhere ....outside of TT......someone needs to find it..On the flats/hills he has Fabian Cancelera protecting him and riding so strongly for him and on the mountains he has Kiserloski doing a remarkable job..he is such a strong rider....So he has the luxury of very strong team mates.....unlike Nico whose team mates are dedicated but not as strong .......or Nibali today who lost his team before the last kms

Unless it was just a tiny blip for Nibali today, it seems most likely Horner will win the Vuelta.

Wow I think that's the closest finish I've ever seen!!!

Very interesting GC battle today too. I'm really surprised that there was a chink in Nibble's armour. I hope he can still win overall.

Oh and the scenery today was absolutely beautiful. There was a village located just beside a river, before the last climb, looked amazing!

There were a couple of spots where I rewound and paused to admire it, it was a beautiful part of Spain and if we're thinking of the same village then I agree. Watching cycling on Eurosport in HD is super.
