After hearing of the GP + Rumour reunion, imaging my delight upon seeing his gig in Whelans. I didn't spare a minute in snapping up a ticket on Ticketmaster....

All was fine until checking Whelans website later and to my dismay finding it listed as "Graham Parker (Solo Show)".

All credit to Whelans for pointing this out, but I'm very disappointed - on checking GPs website , it appears he's only playing 4 UK shows with the Rumour, all others are solo. I'm sure it'll still be a good gig, but if *only* the band were with him....

He did a decent job, IMHO. But yeah, the whole band would have been great. Still well able to belt out a choon on his own, though! :)

    A few pix...

Great pics, cheers. I'm a huge fan, but most of the songs didn't feel right without the band. He seemed to try too hard at times, I think the songs are great enough to be played straight as they were on record.

I'd love to see him play with a backing band - ok they're not going to be The Rumour, but would give some added depth to the rockier numbers.
