    Honestly, some of the stuff he puts out goes beyond the point of laughable idiocy to the extent that I can't help but feel that R Kelly knows exactly what he's doing and how ridiculous it is; that he's at least having a laugh about it and at most that it's an intentional piece of postmodern comedic genius.

    He's also a big proponent of sprechgesang, typically associated with late-nineteenth-century German opera.

    Yes, utterly self-aware, and all the more amazing for it.

    Going through his back catalogue and looking at tunes like "I Believe I Can Fly" through the lens of someone who's heard "Real Talk" it becomes all the more apparent.
