Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have rang a few Insurance companies and none would even give me a quote no matter what training/restricting i did. Anyone eles in same boat?? there has to be some way! Thanks for reading.

Park it up in a dry place and get yourself a learner legal bike until you are in a position to insure the 'Blade.
'Blades have never been low risk and insurers will want to see that you are a reasonable risk before they will touch you.

Out of curiosity I got a quote for myself on a cbr 1000 RR fireblade v2 that's for sale near me. I'm 30 and have a motorbike licence for around 5 months now and still on a learner. Cost in Switzerland: 760chf fully comp or 614 euro.

Only 200 chf more than my ninja 300!

Crazy the difference between Ireland and Switzerland (mainland Europe?).

The ombudsman can force the 1st company who refused to quote you if you get 3 written refusals, only thing is they don't have to anywhere near reasonable.

I got insured on an R1 with a learner permit. I did the IBT and then got a grade 2 assessment for AON. Policy was 580 I think but I got a discount for having cage insurance with Axa

Hi sean thanks for the reply. Its all money really isn't it! I think some training does no harm but they're takin the piss. 580e is not bad, did you have to restrict the R1 at that?

No. As long as you're over 24 and have the new unrestricted learner permit there's no need.

Get a Grade 2 or a Rospa etc - then it does not matter so much that you have a provisional
