is there any good spot for watching stars near/around Greystones?
Lets say 20min with a car one way?
    Thanks

Astronomy Ireland usually use the GAA pitch in Roundwood when they have stargazing events.
It is about 20 mins drive from Greystones.

The Milky Way was visible from just down from the Grove Pub on Tuesday night. A pint in hand, traditional music lilting out from the pub and the galaxy above you. There may be places where the stars are better (though it was still very impressive), but the other factors arguably make up for that.

Though I might pop up to the Sugar Loaf car park next time. That photo's amazing.

Only time I was up the Sally Gap at night, the glow from Dublin was fairly clear, and I kept looking around me for someone dumping a body! Spooky spot at night.

I was right up at the crossroads; the glow comes in over Kippure.

Had to google "Guinness Lake"; bit of history I didn't know. Thanks x 2!
