Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there anyone in North Dublin who fancies splitting the cost of diesel? I'm planning on hitting the road about 5AM (I must be mad...)

If my iPhone 5 sells before Thursday ill be heading up but I'd be leaving around 2am. It means your in and out, back on the road before 9am and plus you get the over night rate in the car park ;)

So much for not upgrading this year :)

Keep us posted if you get a buyer.

Guys you reckon the parcel motel method should work okay for me?

I've used them a lot and they have been very reliable so far.

I wasn't planning on doing it tbh but I've found the balance I would need down the back of a sofa but I'm not going all out to get one.

If it doesn't sell for what I want I will wait till next year!

It will work out no problem. Just beware that if it does get lost or damaged, PM only cover items up to €100.

I'd say it's unlikely. The Belfast store always has plenty of iPhones because they know it's the only store in all of Ireland and there'll be big demand.

I take everything on the rumours sites with a pinch of salt

They used to announce the wave 2 dates at the launch (used to be 10 days after IIRC), but not this year. It's anybody's guess when they'll ship.

Kind of tempted to go up again.
    • I have relatives in the UK to post it over, but dont want to get caught on customs.
    • I could chance parcel motel, but dont want to risk it, or
    • I could wait for what could be a long time.

Going to belfast seems like a good option tbh.

Only problem is I'm in Limerick

All I can tell you is that Three UK across the road from the Apple Store have told me privately that they've been given bugger-all.

    All ready?

How many are queueing there? Is that just the one person or is that other guy by the pillar queuing too?

I didn't expect people to start queuing so early in Belfast.

Any chance you could keep an eye on it tomorrow evening lads?

Yes, something from the RTÉ archives will do nicely. :D

You don't have to do it to frequently. Hourly should suffice. :p
