Voluteering for Animal Charities

Greetings, apologies if this has been covered before. Would anyone here happen to know if there are any volunteering options available in the dog rescue or animal shelter area, preferably around the Dublin / Meath / Louth area. Would there be any minimum commitment? Would I require Garda Vetting? Any suggestions? :)

Select Animals as your cause.

Not sure about Garda vetting, I know some of the smaller places do not require it but the larger ones might? A tetanus shot is required though for anyone working directly with animals so you would need to have your jabs up to date.
