Just wanted to let you all know that there will be a Volunteering Expo in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre on Thursday next week (19th Sept) from 10 am to 6pm.
There will be over 20 different voluntary groups there to talk about their fantastic work in our community and to let people know how they can get involved.
Times are tough for lots of people these days, so if you'd like to actually do something about it (instead of just complaining!
) here's a great opportunity to see if your skills or talents could benefit someone else. Volunteering is also a great thing to do if you are out of work - keeps you busy and learning new skills, gaining contacts and helps to keep you in better form.
