Difficulty yawning

Just wondering, does anyone else experience difficulty in yawning? I experience this most nights. I can be really sleepy, exhausted in fact, but yet when I go to yawn the breath gets stuck. It can be extremely frustrating and can result in me trying to yawn for a good ten minutes. Just wondering if this is common with…

It happens to me quite often but not all of the time. It's like my yawn shuts down halfway through and I sort of mini gag - a bit weird. It doesn't always happen. I have never worried about it but then again I don't have the urge to keep on trying to yawn that you speak of.
