It's about getting fitted like Rory.......for a Ferrari, of which he has apparently had two of (an F430, and an F12)......can't imagine there's much room in them for a bag and sticks :D

Bah, changing putter is a pain for him. That's the one club I'd love to see him be able to use his own choice with.

Any details of the type of money concerned?

Not always true. Titleist had the D4 head in some older models which was tour only, in addition to the D2 and D3.

Why is it anything Epic in the golf forum consistently gets de-epicised?

Good move by addidas considering they're trying to offload TaylorMade... having Rory, DJ & Day on the books certainly adds value for any potential acquisition

Why are both addidas and Nike getting out of golf?

Would they have honoured that? Surely some failsafe clause on their end...

Id say its because they realise there is no further advancement available for golf equipment and worse for the companies involved the public have copped on to it too. People will still buy new clubs if they fancy a change but the growth in sales isn't going to increase much if at all in the coming years.

Boosted sales of apparel and footwear......apparently there's decent money in those segments especially compared to equipment, which is why Nike bailed.

The $200m is a new deal signed after they announced their departure from the equipment game.

10 million a year for 10 years, not bad!

I'd say the $100m is the max he can get under the deal subject to various performance and conduct clauses, and including win bonuses.

Still very nice money, if you can get it. I wonder if he just gets it added to his BRS account :D

As a comparison the likes of lowry, Harrington etc, etc what sort of deals would they be on?
