I thought the same thing. Exhibition stuff from him today.

Don't worry if he has a wobble over the weekend they'll be back in to tell us what he's doing wrong.

The only made par on the scoreable 17th and 18th today, ergo his season is finished

How many of the top player's these day's put 4 good rounds together week after week. The fact that we have a new world number 1 again say's it all. Golf has moved away from the Tiger era, he was on a different planet. Rory et al will never be like him.

Two good rounds doesn't win you a tournament, four however gives you a good chance, he looks like a world beater today, history tells us that can all change tomorrow/Sunday. Hopefully it will continue and he can go into the Opens/PGA in good form, only Tiger in his heyday is as exciting as McIllory when everything is going well for him. But his game isn't good enough to suggest that type of consistency is likely, that's the pity.

7 of them are currently doing it more frequently than Rory is.

And none of them in this comp, Casey is the only other player in the top 10 playing.

You are doing a bit of hacking there yourself, last one was 4 years ago, he said himself that he thinks he has underachieved. Hard to argue with the man himself.

    I don't believe I ever said he was a hacker.

Please don't strawman, it's demeaning for you.

Phil has the most over the last 14 years with 25% more than Rory.

Only player in top 20 over par today so far, but going in right direction now.

Another mouth missed with the fork, scrambling for par on 16.

Could nearly bet on that happening. Got the par though, Molinari in the water.

Also, this is mcillroys bad round, be grand

    Not often when in contention.

He better have shouted fore looking at this shot.

    Fantastic fightback.

Not too long ago that round would have been a 76 or worse. He’s maturing as a golfer and held it together very well today without even his b game.

He did well to get it back under control, but I don't think his game was that off compared to normal?

    Rory

Old head rolling around - hands on hips.

We all know what that normally means.

I'd say other pros love when Rory is at that - such a boost that he is gone.

Surely not! Ewan Murray loves preaching that all Europeans shout fore it's only the big bad Americans that don't do it.
