Fair play Rory bringing the European Tour to life this week.

Now I know, South Africa is not Europe - but a good kick in the arse for all to be reminded that you have a great golfing heritage asleep on the European Tour.

But - if we don't get the stars of the game - we are gone.

Jaysus - we are so lucky he has taken the Irish Open under his wing - Kimmage can publish anything he likes - but the value of what he has done for our little Open is unreal.

yes he doesn't ave a great record.

1 win 4 losses is all I can find.

Is unusual for him - because he normally gives up or wins by miles.

He is a different man now - and you imagine his play off win will improve from now on.

This looks bad for Rory here , but in a bizarre way i'd fancy him more with a shot to make as opposed to a straightforward 112 yard
