Ideas for keeping kittens contained in the living room?

I have recently begun fostering two 8 week old kittens who have ringworm.
The vet has recommended that I keep them contained to stop it from spreading and I have been keeping them in a spare empty bedroom.
The only thing I would be concerned about is them not being properly socialised or exposed to anything? I have thought that it would be good to bring them down to the living room for a couple of hours each evening but I am trying to think of some cheap and easy way to keep them in one area that they cant climb out of. Like a cat playpen (if there is such a thing)
    Any ideas / suggestions welcome.

There are metal dog cases for travel that should work.

To be honest, I wouldnt really want to buy one. theyre pretty expensive and its only a temporary measure.
They should be fine to come down & explore in a few weeks.

I have a crate that we used for a cat that was recovering after surgery, you're welcome to borrow it if you want.

That would be great, thank you! where are u based?
Would it be big enough for them to happily play around in?

what age are they? Its not huge but we managed to use it comfortably with ours after his surgery and could fit in bed, bowls, litter tray and its high enough for a cat to stand. I'll try figure out the dimensions here witha ruler lol

I'm in the city centre but also have parents car for a few weeks so if you were stuck I could drive somewhere.

edit: sorry just saw they are 8 weeks :)

I'd guess about 4 feet long and 2 feet wide? Sorry i'm really bad with measurements but I'd say that would be close? The bottom is plastic and the top is crate and lifts off.

That sounds perfect! Theyre only 8 weeks old so that should be plenty of space.
I will PM you to organise something. I dont have a car but should be able to get someone to collect it for me.
    Thanks again!

When I was fostering some kittens, I found a (human) baby travelcot in a charity shop that I got for E5 because it wasnt in great condition (for a human baby!)- if you have some charity shops nearby, you could check them out or someone might have one in their attic they want to get rid of?

I wouldn't bring them downstairs at all, even if they're in a crate, because the spores are airborne and last a very long time in the environment.
